I had the privilege of crossing paths with Mac in the early 90s. As both of us are from the midwest (he Arkansas and i Missouri) we hit it off from the get go. As both were former military, that likewise strengthened the friendship. Finally, as both of us are hams (amateur radio enthusiasts) that clinched it! We enjoyed going to many hamfests and sharing good times between guys. Mac was a straight shooter and despised folks that put on airs. He valued people for their merit and not their bank account!
I will certainly miss Mac and us going to the hamfests and playing with computers. It just won't be the same. I will always hold Mac in the highest of esteem and again count myself lucky to have been able to call him my friend.

Uncle Bill touched my life before I can remember. When I was very young and times were hard for my Dad and Mom, Uncle Bill purchashed a case of canned milk for me. When I joined the Air Force he supported me and appeared to be as proud as my parents were. After my father died, Bill would call, listen through my tears, share stories and even get me laughing by the time we said "bye for now." We spent lots of time talking about our Scots ancestory, what a joy. One of his phrases I will remember concerned service, to country, a cause or life in general,"If it falls to me, I'll do it." Rest in Peace.

I have memories of Bill when I was about 16 and he was on furlough from the Army. He made a move on me that I shall never forget. I went over his head and back to the standing position in a split second. Bill said, "never fool with a soldier."
